Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) remains a serious public health problem, particularly in tropical regions such as Indonesia. Climatic factors such as rainfall, air temperature, and humidity are known to influence the life cycle of the Aedes aegypti mosquito and the dynamics of dengue virus transmission; therefore, it is important to analyze their association with DHF incidence in West Jakarta. To analyze the influence of climatic variations—including rainfall, air temperature, and humidity—on the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in West Jakarta. A quantitative study with a time-series ecological design, using all dengue fever case data and monthly climate data from West Jakarta for the period 2023–2025. The analysis employed Spearman’s correlation test. The highest rainfall was recorded in January 2025 (527.3 mm) and the lowest in October 2023 (0 mm). The highest air temperature was 29.15°C (October 2024) and the lowest was 26.66°C (February 2023). Humidity ranged from 67–84%. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed no significant relationship between rainfall and dengue fever (DBD) cases (p > 0.05 for all years) or between air temperature and DBD cases (p > 0.05 for all years). Humidity showed a positive and significant relationship with dengue fever incidence in 2023 (r = 0.580; p = 0.048), but this relationship was not significant in 2024 (r = 0.322; p = 0.308) or 2025 (r = 0.238; p = 0.457).
